I am reviewing articles top to bottom on subjects which I have some expertise or curiosity. I am not going for perfection in these reviews; I am satisfied to remove errors and inconsistencies and make incremental improvements but may also add requested sources, improve organization and make copy edits.
I do not review articles in one sitting because it can be tedious, I don't always have a big block of time to devote to Wikipedia editing and I don't want to burden other editors with reviewing changes throughout an article in one sitting.
I typically do not do these improvements to any individual article more than once every 4 weeks. I take it a couple paragraphs or a section at at time. I mark my progress with a wiki comment:
