{{/userpage/core|selfie=Jew Trans Soul Rebel.jpg|selfie_caption="Jew Trans Soul Rebel" (with apologies to Against Me!|lede=My name is Tamzin. Yes, that's a real name. I am, from most to least important, a reader of Wikipedia articles, a writer of Wikipedia articles, and someone who does some behind-the-scenes work on Wikipedia. (I am also a lot of other things unrelated to Wikipedia, like a tokiponist and a tattoo enthusiast.) The articles I write tend to touch on law, violence, Internet culture, religion, and LGBTQ issues, and the intersections thereof. I hold a few privileged accesses behind the scenes, including administrator, global renamer, SPI clerk, and bot operator ('zinbot), but I'm something of a cynic about how this site operates. I think it's amazing what we're doing, and think our culture improves each year, but I remain critical of our shitty backroom culture that often conflates social capital with moral rectitude, and still limit my involvement in certain administrative areas. When I do administrative work, I have (or try to have) near-infinite patience for people who are trying to improve the encyclopedia and able to contribute constructively, but very little patience for those who aren't. I find that, a disturbing percentage of the time, our administrative venues take the exact opposite approach.

If you find yourself spending more time talking about the people who write Wikipedia than being one of those people, remember that you can fix that today:

May your memory forever be for a blessing, O Comrade Vami_IV (1999–2024). You gave this community so much and you deserved so much better than what it gave you—and you still kept giving, nevertheless.)}}
