Spartacus Educational
I recently updated Wikipedia:WikiProject Missing encyclopedic articles/MadMax List/24 and submitted [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Missing_encyclopedic_articles&diff=730221368&oldid=730217753 several requested lists]. One of these submissions, Draft:Wikipedia:WikiProject Missing encyclopedic articles/MadMax List/24/Radicals and Reformers, has been declined as a copyright violation and blanked. I'm not really clear on how these lists differ from the rest of the WP:MISSING lists (especially when there's already existing Spartacus Educational lists). I've stopped for now until this issue can be resolved. 72.74.205.23 (talk) 15:57, 17 July 2016 (UTC)
:{{replyto|72.74.205.23}} I don't understand why an IP editor is trying to create a bunch of sub-page indexes that a long-gone user had been working on. If you had an account previously please log back in. Those of us reviewing drafts at AfC are looking at articles. You're not creating articles. Chris Troutman (talk) 01:16, 18 July 2016 (UTC)
I've been volunteering my time to WP:MISSING by creating requested lists and redirects. The Spartacus Educational list is the only one that's incomplete and no one has worked on it in at least five years from what I could tell. I only continued contributing to Wikipedia because Calaka left me a friendly message. If my assistance isn't wanted then I'll leave. 72.74.205.23 (talk) 01:44, 18 July 2016 (UTC)
:{{replyto|72.74.205.23}} Ok. On second thought I've moved all those pages as you've requested. Please do not continue to use AfC for this. Registering an account would help you do this sort of housekeeping. For the pages tagged as COPYVIO I'm leaving alone. The issue is that you've apparently copied these lists word-for-word from another website. I don't buy that lists without other content can really be copyrighted but I'm not going to go against a CSD tag. I'll leave that to admins. Your contributions are valuable but AfC isn't designed for this sort of thing. Chris Troutman (talk) 02:17, 18 July 2016 (UTC)
::Hey {{replyto|72.74.205.23}} and {{replyto|Chris troutman}}, sorry about that, I should have told you if you wanted to create lists from other websites, if there are lists on that website then to avoid copy vio then maybe you can combine a few of the lists into a 'Hotlist', which is in fact what happened with Wikipedia:WikiProject_Missing_encyclopedic_articles/Hot so maybe you can copy paste the lists into one list and have them on one page. That would avoid the copy vio. I hope that clarifies the process.Calaka (talk) 02:24, 18 July 2016 (UTC)
:::Hey {{replyto|72.74.205.23}}, I think a good workaround to you not being able to create these articles is for me to create all of the subpages in the spartacus list and then you may add the lists! This will make it so you don't have to make requests to the AfC page. Good job on expanding the list on page 24! And of course if pages need to be consolidated or combined in the future then we can do so if necessary. Kind regards, Calaka (talk) 07:28, 18 July 2016 (UTC)
:::Hey {{replyto|72.74.205.23}}, I feel it would be best if 27, 30, and 5 subpages can be combined in the three lists: WW1, WW2, and Other respecively, and as you can see how it fits in with the Russian section already added. Now all those other lists can be added under their respective subheadings. I think once the blue links get prunned, the list wont end up being too long.Calaka (talk) 10:49, 18 July 2016 (UTC)
Not a problem. I've added all the "British history" lists at Wikipedia:WikiProject Missing encyclopedic articles/MadMax List/24/Second World War (USA). That particular list could probably be included in the "Second World War" section. 72.74.197.5 (talk) 16:01, 18 July 2016 (UTC)
:Thank you {{replyto|72.74.197.5}}! I ended up moving that list in the British History section and now all that is left is American section. I will create a big page for all of those American sections and then they can be all combined in one. I envision once the blue links are removed, potentially all can be combined in one page, but for now, the 5 pages will have to do. Note if there were any other pages I think I should create to make lists just let me know and I will be happy to do so. Thank you again for all your help!Calaka (talk) 09:44, 19 July 2016 (UTC)
::{{replyto|72.74.197.5}}I added a page for american history as well, so that list can be populated with all the above pages.
Adding images
Hi Calaka,
How can I add a new picture in a Wikipedia article? I noticed that in my favorite brands page the stores are very old and there are newer pictures available.

New deal for page patrollers
Hi {{BASEPAGENAME}},
In order to better control the quality of new pages, keep out the spam, and welcome the genuine newbies, the current system we introduced in 2011 is being updated and improved. The documentation and tutorials have also been revised and given a facelift. Most importantly a new user group New Page Reviewer has been created.
Under the new rule, you may find that you are temporarily unable to mark new pages as reviewed. However, this is nothing to worry about - most current experienced patrollers are being accorded the the new right without the need to apply, and if you have significant previous experience of patrolling new pages, we strongly encourage you to apply for the new right as soon as possible - we need all the help we can get, and we are now providing a dynamic, supportive environment for your work.
Find out more about this exiting new user right now at New Page Reviewers and be sure to read the new tutorial before applying. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 04:29, 13 November 2016 (UTC)

Hey, I am trying to create a Wikipedia page for Lucy Sarah (Atkins) Wilson and I saw that you had her listed as the mother of Edward Francis Wilson. The 1851 and 1861 England Census does not list him as one of her children. What is your source that lists Lucy Atkins Wilson as one of his parents? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 143.215.58.115 (talk) 13:50, 9 February 2018 (UTC)
