Hope all is well with you Harry! I'm going to start uploading my recent Coventry pics soon. I managed to get photos of almost all the Coventry viaducts and bridges, so I will either add to the existing categories or create new cats as appropriate. Next West Midlands trip will be early August, probably concentrating on Birmingham and the Black Country, so if you can think of anything you need in that area let me know at the Brighton meetup. ::I have been trying not to get drawn into things, partly because I don't want to become collateral damage and partly because it isn't good for my health. I genuinely can't think of anything which a case might achieve that cannot already be achieved using existing ArbCom-defined sanctions regimes. OK, so it might eventually end up with a whole bunch of accounts being banned but that could be done now even without a case ... and with the levels of socking, meating, off-wiki co-ordination and (allegedly) account sharing, even bans aren't likely to have a significant effect beyond the very short term. These accounts seem to be driven by ideology, although it's sometimes difficult to work out what the ideology is - it was generally Hindutva vs Wikipedia's policies (and Hindutva trying to turn WP into a propaganda outlet) but I have a sense that things are a tad less clear-cut at the moment.

In a carry-over from edit wars concerning Bluebird K7, the HMHS Britannic - Wreck - subheading has been edited to remove the name of Bill Smith, the sonar expert who, through his underwater survey expertise, was able to identify the anchoring apparatus of a mine. This find confirmed the vessel had been sunk by a single mine strike - and had not been torpedoed, which had been a long-standing fear. The site is a war grave. Also, the sonar image (© Bill Smith 2005) from which the description in the text was taken, has also been removed. The article content about Bill Smith's sonar work was specifically referred to by Carl Spencer (the lead diver who lost his life on a later dive to Britannic) when the article was created many years ago.
