columns

You edited several Road to Le Mans articles, finding markup of this form:

{{col-start}}

{{col-2}}

(first table)

{{col-2}}

(second table)

{{col-end}}

and removing the first {{col-2}}. In my correction, I included edit summaries like "If you wish to remove a column you must remove a full set of column markup, not just one {{tl|col-2}} template." Unfortunately, you didn't understand my meaning, so I will explain it more completely. If you want to remove the two-column structure, you have to do it completely and remove all four column templates, not just the first {{tl|col-2}} template. Removing just that one template results in a [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:LintErrors/deletable-table-tag?wpNamespaceRestrictions=0&titlecategorysearch=&exactmatch=1&tag=all&template=all Table tag that should be deleted] lint error. So, again I say to you, with respect to these four articles, If you want to get rid of the two-column structure, you have to do it completely and remove all four column templates, not just the first {{tl|col-2}} template. Since you are the one who wants to get rid of the two-column structure, will you please complete the task? —Anomalocaris (talk) 08:22, 17 December 2023 (UTC)

:This clears my doubts, i appreciate the explanation.

:Thanks Anomalocaris! Road Atlanta Turn 5 (talk) 12:55, 18 December 2023 (UTC)

:It should be fixed now.

:Thanks a lot for telling me this.

File:Information.svg Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed that one or more recent edit(s) you made did not have an edit summary. You can use the edit summary field to explain your reasoning for an edit, or to provide a description of what the edit changes. Summaries save time for other editors and reduce the chances that your edit will be misunderstood. For some edits, an adequate summary may be quite brief.

The edit summary field looks like this:

{{The edit-summary field/OOUI}}

Please provide an edit summary for every edit you make. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting {{myprefs|3|check=Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary}}, and then click the "Save" button.

Please consult MOS:OVERLINK. The article on the fourth-largest city and seventh-largest metropolis in the world does not need to be linked to. [[Ligier European Series]]

If you are so sure... Wow... You already did it... Created the subj article.

Look. I don't mind the whole series can be WP:notable, but it's not talking about it's seasons.

Why don't you lead your pursuit into creating one good article and just move all that stuff from seasonal (but obviously notability faulty) articles to the main one?

It will be really a great achievement and I won't even deny it's notability as the common one.

That also will you free from deleting a huge amount of primary sourced seasonal text as it's not needed at the common article, where exactly common (meaning LES exactly is notable and not any of it's season) notability already approved.

Do you need help moving the staff from there to here? 83.142.111.65 (talk) 14:54, 1 March 2025 (UTC)

File:Information.svg Hi Road Atlanta Turn 5! I noticed that you have reverted to restore your preferred version of :2024 Ligier European Series several times. The impulse to undo an edit you disagree with is understandable, but I wanted to make sure you're aware that the edit warring policy disallows repeated reversions even if they are justifiable.

All editors are expected to discuss content disputes on article talk pages to try to reach consensus. If you are unable to agree at {{TALKPAGENAME:2024 Ligier European Series}}, please use one of the dispute resolution options to seek input from others. Using this approach instead of reverting can help you avoid getting drawn into an edit war. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 21:32, 2 March 2025 (UTC)

Non-attributed translations

File:Information.svg Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you translated text from :nl:Nicolas_Baert to :Nicolas Baert. While you are welcome to translate Wikipedia content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing requires that you provide attribution to the contributor(s) of the original article. When translating from a foreign-language Wikipedia article, this is supplied at a minimum in an edit summary on the page where you add translated content, identifying it as a translation and linking it to the source page. Sample wording for this is given here. If you forgot, or were not aware of this requirement, attribution must be given retroactively, for example:

: NOTE: Content in the edit of 01:25, January 25, 2023 was translated from the existing French Wikipedia article at :fr:Exact name of French article; see its history for attribution.

Retroactive attribution may be added using a dummy edit; see Repairing insufficient attribution.

It is good practice, especially if translation is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{tl|translated page}} template on the talk page of the destination article. If you have added translated content previously which was not attributed at the time it was added, you must add attribution retrospectively, even if it was a long time ago. You can read more about author attribution and the reasons for it at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. Vanderwaalforces (talk) 14:51, 10 May 2025 (UTC)

:I didn't even know that Baert had a page in French, as I made the page completely from scratch.

:If I did use it as a base, I would've mentioned it. Road Atlanta Turn 5 (Talk) 15:10, 10 May 2025 (UTC)

::That's strange, especially because the nlwiki version is appearing to be created [https://nl.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Nicolas_Baert&oldid=69032622 14 Mar], while the enwiki version was created 27 April. Vanderwaalforces (talk) 15:15, 10 May 2025 (UTC)

:::It is strange to me too, as I had no idea until now that he had a page in another language until now Road Atlanta Turn 5 (Talk) 15:17, 10 May 2025 (UTC)

::::Though I do thank you regardless for telling me this as I was planning to translate some pages soon, but I had no idea how to mention that in the edit summary/talk page, so thank you @Vanderwaalforces !! Road Atlanta Turn 5 (Talk) 15:20, 10 May 2025 (UTC)

:::::Oh great, thank you for your hard work. Vanderwaalforces (talk) 15:21, 10 May 2025 (UTC)

::::::Thanks man! I hope your editing on wikipedia will continue smoothly and I hope you also have a nice day! Road Atlanta Turn 5 (Talk) 15:22, 10 May 2025 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Ivan Klymenko (racing driver)

Hello Road Atlanta Turn 5,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Ivan Klymenko (racing driver) for deletion, because it's a redirect from an article title to a namespace that's not for articles.

If you don't want Ivan Klymenko (racing driver) to be deleted, you can [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title={{urlencode:Talk:Ivan Klymenko (racing driver)}}&action=edit§ion=new&preload=Template:Hangon_preload&preloadtitle=This+page+should+not+be+speedy+deleted+because...+ contest this deletion], but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

If you are interested in winning something to save you money in buying books for future content, or just see it as a good editathon opportunity to see a lot of articles improved for subjects which interest you, sign up on the page in the participants section if interested. Even if you can only manage a few articles they would be very much appreciated and help make the content produced as diverse and broad as possible! ♦ Dr. Blofeld 18:21, 15 June 2025 (UTC)
