Epichloë mollis is a haploid sexual species in the fungal genus Epichloë.
A systemic and seed-transmissible grass symbiont first described in 1982,{{cite journal|last1=Morgan-Jones|first1=G.|last2=Gams|first2=W.|title=Notes on hyphomycetes. XLI. An endophyte of Festuca arundinacea and the anamorph of Epichloë typhina, new taxa in one of two new sections of Acremonium.|journal=Mycotaxon|volume=15|year=1982|pages=311-318|issn=0093-4666}} Epichloë mollis is a sister lineage to Epichloë amarillans, Epichloë baconii, Epichloë festucae and Epichloë stromatolonga.
Epichloë mollis is found in Europe, where it has been identified in the grass species Holcus mollis.
