The wattled honeyeaters form a genus, Foulehaio, of birds in the honeyeater family Meliphagidae.

Taxonomy

The genus Foulehaio was introduced in 1852 by the German naturalist Ludwig Reichenbach to accommodate a single species, the Polynesian wattled honeyeater, which is therefore considered as the type species.{{ cite book | last=Reichenbach | first=Ludwig | author-link=Ludwig Reichenbach | year=1852 | title=Handbuch der speciellen Ornithologie: Continuo No. IX Meropinae | language=German | location=Dresden und Leipzig | publisher=Expedition Vollständigsten Naturgeschichte | page=110 | url=https://www.biodiversitylibrary.org/page/47619282 }} For the publication date see: {{ cite book | last1=Dickinson | first1=E.C. | author1-link=Edward C.
