Halicylindramides are a group of halogenated antifungal peptides. The first compounds of this type, designated halicylindramides A through E, were isolated from sea sponges of the genus Halichondria.{{Cite journal | doi = 10.1021/jm00002a015 | title = Halicylindramides A-C, antifungal and cytotoxic depsipeptides from the marine sponge Halichondria cylindrata | date = 1995 | last1 = Li | first1 = Hong-yu | last2 = Matsunaga | first2 = Shigeki | last3 = Fusetani | first3 = Nobuhiro | journal = Journal of Medicinal Chemistry | volume = 38 | issue = 2 | pages = 338–343 | pmid = 7830276 }}{{cite journal |last1=Li |first1=H. |last2=Matsunaga |first2=S. |last3=Fusetani |first3=N. |title=Halicylindramides D and E, antifungal peptides from the marine sponge Halichondria cylindrata |journal=Journal of Natural Products |date=February 1996 |volume=59 |issue=2 |pages=163–166 |doi=10.1021/np9600309 |pmid=8991950 |bibcode=1996JNAtP..59..163L |url=https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/8991950 |issn=0163-3864}} More compounds in the family, designated F, G and H, were found in sponges of the genus Petrosia.{{cite journal |last1=Hahn |first1=Dongyup |last2=Kim |first2=Hiyoung |last3=Yang |first3=Inho |last4=Chin |first4=Jungwook |last5=Hwang |first5=Hoosang |last6=Won |first6=Dong Hwan |last7=Lee |first7=Byoungchan |last8=Nam |first8=Sang-Jip |last9=Ekins |first9=Merrick |last10=Choi |first10=Hyukjae |last11=Kang |first11=Heonjoong |title=The Halicylindramides, Farnesoid X Receptor Antagonizing Depsipeptides from a Petrosia sp.
