Image license

As an alternative to PD where you surrender all rights, you might want to consider GFDL, where you retain certain rights, particularly being credited as the author. See User_talk:VAwebteam#GFDL. Ty 22:56, 13 July 2008 (UTC)

Hi Townsendeldorado, I can see that you've uploaded a lot of pictures, under free licences from this website. From what I can see the website notes "Website and images, Copyright 2007, Reginald Case, All rights reserved". Is there any reason that you are claiming these are free images as they appear to be commercial copyrighted ones - Peripitus (Talk) 05:21, 28 January 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for that - I was following a recommendation made above by Tyrenius to consider GFDL. When I started looking at the options, I contacted Reg Case and he is happy to have these particular files on wiki under any license that allows them to remain. He is interested in being cited as the artist if someone uses them - which license should I use. I have correspondence from him regarding this and he is open. He originally said to put them all in PD, but tonight I changed them to creative commons. Any advice is appreciated - T.E.
