San Pedro de la Paz is a chilean "comuna" located in the Concepción Province, in the Biobío region in Chile.

San Pedro de la Paz has some 80.447 inhabitants according to the 2002 national census. Although the estimated population for 2006 is over 100.000 inhabitants.

In 2005 one major urban project was finished, the Pedro Aguirre Cerda avenue, the main avenue in the "city".

Most of the inhabitants of this comuna commute daily to Concepción, either by car, bus or train over the Biobío river.

iScribble.net is a Digital Illustration website that is Raster-based. Anoyone over the age of 18 can sign up for iscribble. The website is made up of the "Main Board" in the lobby, the "Practice Board", also in the lobby, and the "Intermediate/Advanced Board". There are also many user made rooms also located in iscribble's lobby.

Public Boards:

Public Boards are either System-made or User-made boards that are open to any registered user of iscribble. Anyone can come in and draw on a free space in the board. They can also chat with other users.

Private Boards:

Private Boards are user-made boards that only the creater of the board, and whoever he/she invites to the board can use. Only these people can come in these boards to draw in a free space. They may also chat with other users.

Private/Public Boards:

Private/Public Boards are user-made boards that only invited users can draw in free spaces. Uninvited users however, can only chat with the other users located in these boards. Invited users may also chat with others.

Guest Users:

Guest users are users that don't need to register onto iscribble to sign on. Although, guest users can't draw on any of the boards. They also can only visit Public boards and Private/Public boards. While they are in these rooms they can also chat with other guests and registered users.

Restricted Users/Newly Registered Users:

Restricted users, or Nely Registered users, are users that are registered to iscribble, but can only use certain tools on the boards and they cannot publish their own art. Restricted users may draw though, and can chat. When they are finished making art, they must ask a Regular User or a Power User to publish it for them. They also are not allowed to rate other drawings or comment on other art in iscribble's gallery.

Regular Users:

Regular Users are users that are registered onto iscribble, and are allowed all features of iscribble. They may chat, use tools that Restricted Users cannot, and publish their own art. They can also rate other art in the gallery and can comment on them. Regular Users make up most of the iscribble community.

Power Users or "PUs":

Power Users are users that are allowed all features on iscribble, and mantain the iscribble community. They can warn, kick, and ban other users if they do not follow iscribble rules. "PUs" also categorize art in the gallery that they think is worthy enough for the it. They may also do anything that Regular Users can.

Admins:

There are currently only two admins registered to iscribble: Website creator, "tyb", and "sushi". Admins can do anything that all other users can and mantain the entire website. They may occasionally add new features to it.

The iScribble Gallery:

The iScribble gallery is an area on the website where users, including guests, can view, comment, and rate other drawings, and sometimes drawings of their own. They may also change things on their user profile, such as their age, whether or not they can view mature art, or their user information. The iScribble gallery is made up of a Hall of Fame, Top one hundred of all time, top one hundred of the month, and top one hundred of the week. Top one hundreds are sorted by ratings ranging from Poor - Exeptional (1 - 6). Ratings may also bay decimals, such as 5.99.

The overview is an overview of the Hall of Fame, the latest ten drawings, and the latest pictures added by users (Except Guests).

The new category is the latest 100 drawings and the "Best in New".

Stories & Manga are drawings that are either anime-styled or story-based.

-Animations

Animation drawings are drawings that are animated in their Irender replay.

-B/W

B/W drawings are drawings that are in black and white.

-Comic

Comic drawings are comic based art.

-Scene & Nature

Scene & Nature are pieces of art that contain a nature scene or some sort of scene.

-Love

Love drawings are drawings that are based on love.

-People

People drawings are drawings that are of totally random people from your mind, or can also be famouse people.

-Animals

Animal drawings are drawings of animals other than humans.

-Artistic

Artistic drawings are artsy drawings that can sometimes be abstract or very creative.

-Random

Radnom drawings are drawings of either random collaborations or random art that cannot be categorized into the other categorys.

Celebration drawings are drawings that are usually made for a holiday or someone's birthday.

Pokemon: Project orange is an upcoming game for the Nintendo Wii.

The game is being Developed By Game Freak and will be the First Pokemon Console game to reflect the hand held titles. The game Is said to take Place in the Orange Islands region of the series. it was confirmed that you will be playing as Richie from the Pokemon TV Show. Water Pokemon will be the main focus, But Gamefreak has said that Pokemon like Magmar and Moltres will show up in the game. Game freak has said not all of the pokemon will be seen in the game. You will be able to use 125 pokemon and see about 35 more.

The game will connect to other Pokemon games like Pokemon Ranger and Pokemon Diamond and Pearl. You will start with 3 starters like most games. Squirtle, Mudkip or Lapras. Gamefreak Has confirmed that the will show off 7 new pokemon From the 5th generation of games.

Born and raised in Augusta Georgia, Rich Williamson a.k.a. DJ Richie Rich discovered his passion for dance music in the late '80s. He would listen intensely as the DJs would mix the best of urban and freestyle music back to back and beat to beat every weekend on local radio legend WFXA, Foxy 103. Teaching himself, Rich soon began mixing and scratching for many audiences all over the CSRA. He became particularly fond of the Miami Bass and Freestyle craze of the late '80s and early '90s including classics like Afro-Rican's "give it all you got" and dance diva Debbie Deb's "Lookout Weekend."

At age 17, he began appearing as a guest DJ in various clubs around the country even before he was old enough to attend them legally. Since late 1997, Rich has Held residencies at some of the Hottest nightclubs in the CSRA including Time Piecez, Last Call, The Modjeska Lounge and the Vue Lounge.

While continuing to pack the dance floors of the greater Augusta area, he teams up with Augusta favorites DJ Tim and on-air radio personality Steve Matthews of Clear Channel's WZNY, Y105 to broadcast the ground-breaking Friday afternoon drive-time mix show dubbed the "Friday Flashback." Mixing live for two hours every Friday afternoon, Rich and Tim along with the host Steve Matthews brought back the hits of the '80s and '90s and fused them with the hits of today.

Not only is DJ Richie Rich an accomplished nightclub DJ, he has also an accomplished music producer. In 1997, under the alias DJ Neutron, Rich released his first collaborative record "Prepare to Reactivate" co-produced by DJ Hydraulic. Since then, he released over thirty singles for such independent record labels as Pandisc, Xquizit, Funk Wax, Breaklogix, Uniscope and many dance remixes for artists such as Beyonce, P Diddy, Danity Kane, New Edition, Tears for Fears, Cherish, DJ Magic Mike, Luke and Bass Mekanik.

These and many other accomplishments has earned DJ Richie Rich a spot among the best DJs in the south.

The "Catalina eddy"--also called the "coastal eddy"--is a localized weather phenomenon that occurs in the so-called "bight of California," the mostly convex portion of the Southern California coast running from Point Conception to San Diego. The Catalina eddy leads to the "June gloom" that is so much a part of the late spring and early summer weather in Southern California.

In spring and summer months, upper-level northwesterly flow along the California coast is directed onshore by the Channel Islands offshore. When the flow is blocked by the mountains that ring the Los Angeles Basin to the west and north, a counterclockwise vortex is created. As temperatures drop after sunset, the marine layer deepens and coastal stratus clouds thicken. While the vortex is relatively small--rarely more than 100 miles (160 km) in diameter--it can extend into inland valleys and even into the southwestern Mojave Desert. A very strong Catalina eddy can be as deep as 6000 feet (1.8 km).

A Catalina eddy is rarely prolonged: as the heat over the deserts causes air to rise, the resulting pressure gradient and increase in the normal onshore winds causes the vortex to dissipate. The result is the common local weather forecast calling for "late night and early morning low clouds and fog, followed by afternoon sunshine and sea breezes."

While a Catalina eddy can develop at any time of the year, it is most common betweeen April and September and peaks in June. The eddy gets its name from Santa Catalina Island, the Channel Island closest to the Los Angeles-Long Beach area; the center of an eddy is often located above or near the island.

What is reality? The mindsets of the modern world provide four answers to that question and oscillate between these answers: 1. The traditional Jewish, Islamic and Christian religions speak about a creator that holds the world together. He represents the fundamental reality. If He were separated only for one moment from the world, the world would disappear immediately. The world can only exist because He is maintaining and guarding it. This mindset is so fundamental that even many modern scientists cannot deviate from it. The laws of nature and elementary particles now supersede the role of the creator. 2. René Descartes takes into considering a second mindset, where the subject or the subjective model of thought is fundamental. Everything else is nothing but derived from it. 3. According to a third holistic mindset, the fundamental reality should consist of both, subject and object. Everything should be one. Everything should be connected with everything. 4. A fourth and very modern mindset neglects reality. We could call it instrumentalism. According to this way of thinking, our concepts do not reflect a single reality in any one way. Our concepts have nothing to do with reality but only with information.

Buddhism refuses these four concepts of reality. Therefore it was confronted with the reproach of nihilism. If you don’t believe in a creator, nor in the laws of nature, nor in a permanent object, nor in an absolute subject, nor in both, nor in none of it, in what do you believe then? What remains that you can consider a fundamental reality? The answer is simple: it is so simple that we barely consider it being a philosophical statement: things depend on other things. For instance: a thing is dependent on its cause. There is no effect without a cause and no cause without an effect. There is no fire without a fuel, no action without an actor and vice versa. Things are dependent on other things; they are not identical with each other, nor do they break up into objective and subjective parts.

This Buddhist concept of reality is often met with disapproval and considered incomprehensible. But there are modern modes of thought with points of contact. For instance: there is a discussion in quantum physics about fundamental reality. What is fundamental in quantum physics: particles, waves, field of force, law of nature, mindsets or information? Quantum physics came to a result that is expressed by the key words of complementarity, interaction and entanglement. According to these concepts there are no independent but complementary quantum objects; they are at the same time waves and particles. Quantum objects interact with others, and they are even entangled when they are separated in a far distance. Without being observed philosophically, quantum physics has created a physical concept of reality. According to that concept the fundamental reality is an interaction of systems that interact with other systems and with their own components. This physical concept of reality does not agree upon the four approaches mentioned before. If the fundamental reality consists of dependent systems, then its basics can neither be independent and objective laws of nature nor independent subjective models of thought. The fundamental reality cannot be a mystic entity nor it can it consist of information only.

Currarong is a small coastal fishing/tourist village on the south coast, with a population of less than 250.

This village is a haven for fisherman, with several underwater rises where fish are abundent.

Currarong has a small general store, a newsagents and a cafe. Currarongs industry mainly relies on tourism.

Žarko Trebješanin

Born in 1950 in Belgrade. Graduated at the Philosophy Faculty in Belgrade, Psychology Major. Won a master’s degree at the same faculty in 1982 for thesis “Fromm’s View of Influence of the Society on Forming Personality” and Ph.D. in 1990 for thesis “Image of Child and Personality Development in Traditional Culture of Serbs”. Worked at Philosophy Faculty in Niš as graduate assistant to the Psychology Group in 1974 and graduate assistant at the Defectology Faculty in Belgrade in 1975. Appointed as assistant for the subject general psychology with psychology of personality in 1982, senior lecturer in 1990, associate professor in 1992 and professor in 1995. Proactively opposed the Law on University in 1998 and refused to sign contract based on this law. Because of that got expelled from tution, but a year after that got back after legal action.

Lectures at AAEN (Alternative Academic Educational Network) and Belgrade Open School (hosts and lectures the module “Personality and Democracy”).

Participated as associate and host in scientific and expert projects of the Institute for Psychology, such as “Socialization of Children in Serbia”, “How Children in Serbia See War and Peace”, “Psychosocial War Consequences on Children and Parents” and in projects of the Institute for Political Studies such as “Identity and Ideals of Young People in Serbia”, “Psycho-Political Profile of the Students of the University of Belgrade”. Cooperated on the project about education of young people in Serbia “Become Citizen” through the organization “Civil Initiatives”.

Published about ten books and more than hundred scientific and expert articles.

Kara Scott is a Canadian born TV Presenter and writer who is currently working in the sports and poker media in the UK. She hosted and was associate producer for the series "Now is the Time: Night of Combat" for three years on Ch5 before moving to the channel Pokerzone to be one of the hosts on the cult hit 'Poker Night Live'. She now hosts and is a sometime poker analyst for Sky Poker's The Open as well as being the host for the World Series of Backgammon.

William (Billy) Shusler, a self proclaimed alcholic and dipsomaniac was born in London, Ontario Canada, June 29, 1955. He is the current president of the the Under the Sink Club (which has over 1000 members across the globe) and is noted for an unending and unwavering support of dipsomaniacs¹ and the search for root cause and treatment of this terrible sickness, the insatiable craving for alcohol. The Under the Sink Club (named for the hiding and storage of liquor under the kitchen sink by the original members) was originally founded in 1990, by a Canadian group who at the time were small in number, but all had been formally diagnosed with dipsomania, through psychiatric and legal channels. William Shusler was preceded by two former dispomanics as the president of the Under the Sink Club, David Mohring and Joseph Mulholland, both notable alchoholics. William Shusler, through his worldwide connections with Alcoholics Anonymous² has presented at the international gatherings for AA, to discuss the psychatric and physical disorder of dipsomania and has had numerous awards bestowed upon him from prestigious universities and addiction research centres for bringing this serious alcoholic problem to the attention of psychiatric specialists, addiction researchers and counsellors so that dipsomaniacs can and will be eventually helped therapeutically or psychologically, worldwide.

The Enthuse Mark, or simply the Enthuse, is a punctuation mark used, like any other end mark (e.g. exclamation point, question mark, full stop) at the end of a sentence. It looks like this:

The Enthuse Mark indicates genuine enthusiasm, but not the level of excitement indicated by an exclamation point. It came into existence as a response certain problems created by the prevalence of electronic communication, (i.e. email, text messaging, and instant messaging), namely the difficulty in discerning tone from informal written communication. Due to the increasingly informal nature of electronic communication, it became difficult to know from reading an electronic communication whether it was intended to be genuine and, if so, whether it was intended to be expository, enthusiastic, or excited. Thomas Harris Sr. was born in Hampshire, Kent, England in the year 1594. He was a minister. At the age of twenty six, along with his brother William he sailed for America under the leadership of Rogers Williams, a profound advocator of religious freedom who believed in the separation of the Church from the civil government.

The sailing vessel “Lyons” arrived in Boston Harbor on February 5, 1621. Upon arrival they founded two colonies, namely the Puritans of Massachusetts Bay and the Pilgrims of Plymouth Colony.

Due to Williams and Harris’s outspoken beliefs in religious freedom, they were arrested and thrown into jail, without warrant or bond, for non-conformity to the established laws of the Church.

Roger Williams was sentenced to banishment. Alone and without food, he trudged his way into the wilderness until he came to an Indian Village on Narragansett Bay under the control of Chief Massasoitt. Due to Williams” love of all mankind; he soon became fast friends with the Indians. After living with the Indians for some time, Chief Massasoitt gave Williams a large tract of land on which to start a colony. It was later found that this land was in the Plymouth Colony. He gave it up and bought land on the other side of the Mooshassus River where he located his colony.

When Thomas Harris was released from jail, he joined Williams in his new colony, and they invited all their friends to join them there. They named it Providence Colony and it later became Providence, Rhode Island. It is noted that the next four generations of the Thomas Harris family were born in Providence. For this reason our family is called the Rhode Island branch today.

Roger Williams and Thomas Harris Sr. both had the respect and friendship of Thomas Jefferson and James Madison. Both of these men were in sympathy with William and Harris’ belief of religious freedom with the separation of the Church from civil government. Thomas Jefferson gave expression to these matters in the Declaration of Independence and James Madison wrote them into the Constitution of the United States.

Thomas Harris Sr. was buried in Providence, Rhode Island as are many of the next four generations of the Harris family.

Cali rapper 40 Glocc is living the dream. He is signed to a deal with life-time friends Mobb Deep – with whom he is about to embark on a national tour - on Infamous/G-Unit Records. He’s recording his first album under that deal with some of the top producers in the business (Dr Dre, Alchemist, Havoc) and is traveling to places in the world he once only dreamed of seeing. It would seem that he has everything right now that an aspiring artist could ever want, and that is certainly true; but it certainly wasn’t always that way. This is definitely no overnight success story.

Born as Tory Gasaway in Galveston, Texas, 40 Glocc didn’t know his mother until the age of 8. Instead, he was raised by his grandparents in Beaumont, along with 14 other children. His father was never around much either. During those eight years, 40 only knew his mother, and a younger sister he had never met, by the pictures his grandparents showed him. He only knew that they lived in California and that one day, his mother was coming to get him. His grandmother told him so.

She did in fact come to get him and moved him to the MacArthur Park area of Downtown Los Angeles. 40 was so glad to see her and his sister, and he just knew that life was going to get better now that his family was reunited. After a time the family relocated to Colton City, San Bernadino, to an area also known as “The Zoo” and the problems at home began. 40 and his mother didn’t get along at all. He didn’t feel that she cared at all about what happened to him. His new friends did though and 40 started spending all of his time with them. His friends, unfortunately, were all members of the Colton City Crips. The deeper 40 got into that lifestyle, and its ensuing traps, the worse things became at home. Finally, at the age of 13, 40 left home for good, choosing instead to sleep in the cars of friends, or outside of grocery stores with the bums. It was a life he became adept at dealing with. His role models and father figures, such as they were, were gang bangers and drug dealers and 40 learned to survive through them and live by their street code, reaping all the rewards such a life inevitably has in store. Among other things, 40 was shot several times, ending up in a wheelchair for many months after one such incident during which he was shot by police. He finally caught a case from a home invasion charge he didn’t commit. A charge it took him six months to beat.

Through all of this though, 40 did have a dream. He also had a talent, that of rapping, and of telling vivid stories of the things he had been through and of his life on the streets. Narratives that people could relate to. People like him. Word didn’t take long to reach the right ears; the streets are like that. By ’97 group The Zoo Crew (40 Glocc, K-9 and Natural Born) had formed and were dropping their first album “Migrate, Adapt or Die” produced by Tony and Julio G. The album became an underground hit and 40 was recognized as one of the best hidden talents in the streets. Soon he was an integral part of the scene and recording with his West Coast peers. It was his manager and long-time friend Storm though that negotiated his first solo deal with Empire Music Werks who were distributed by BMG. It was through this deal that 40 Glocc released his first solo effort, “The Jackal” which featured a who’s who list of West Coast talent - Ras Kass, Bad Azz, Kurupt, Spice 1 and Tray Dee – and production from the best Cali had to offer; long-time supporter Dr Dre, Battle Cat and Protégé. Empire didn’t have their promotion game up to snuff though and after sinking much of what he had been advanced back into promoting the album himself, 40 decided to go his own way.

At this time, manager Storm’s other act, Mobb Deep had been making a lot of noise since their debut “Infamous” on Jive and it was only natural that they would take an interest in the career of their friend. First instincts said get 40 a deal at Jive but conversations went nowhere and Storm began to shop 40 Glocc at the other majors. Unfortunately, the West Coast had lost their hold on the rap game and no one wanted to take a chance that a West Coast artist could sell. It was a set-back, as was Jive’s dropping of Mobb Deep but as life often so does, things took a sudden turn for the great. Mobb Deep was signed to G-Unit and suddenly they and their friend 40 Glocc were running around with rap’s finest. This was a home 40 could live with and it wasn’t long before that became a reality; he signed to Mobb Deep’s imprint Infamous under G-Unit. Some things have remained the same however. 40 is still recording with Dr Dre and he is still writing stories that people his can relate to. That is his goal. To give hope with his lyrics to people who are coming up through some of what he has already lived to tell. To let them know that they too can achieve their dream. To believe in themselves when there is no one else to believe in you.

With what he has already accomplished, what are some of 40 Glocc’s other dreams? To make an album that touches peoples’ souls. He feels that what he is recording now is his best work ever. He knows he can’t rap forever though. He also hopes to make his label Zoo Life something he can grow old with. After all, right now, just the thought that he has made it to a point in his life where he probably will live to grow old is a major blessing.

The Oriental Club is a gentleman's club founded in 1824 originally for members, active or retired, of the East India Club with the Duke of Wellington as its first and, to this day, only President. Its home was initially in Grosvenor Square before a purpose built clubhouse was constructed in 1828 in Hanover Square, Mayfair. The club then moved in 1962 to its present home, Stratford House, the former London home of Lord Derby. With the creation of the East India Club in 1849 the direct link with the Company came to an end and the membership became more associated with businessmen, civil servants and the professions who had lived in the East. The 'oriental' connection is still strong, with around a third of the currect membership having links with Asia, although it is not rigid requirement.

The clubhouse is one of the most beautiful of all London clubs and it is graced with a very fine collection of paintings - principally of Indian colonial themes including the famous 'Lord Cornwallis with the Sons of Tippoo Sahib' and portraits of Wellington and Clive. The club also possesses a number of intersting and colourful artefacts including a chair once owner by Tippoo Sahib along with the famous statue of the elephant which is the club's mascot and appears on all club memorablia.

The club has remained proudly independent and has managed to avoid both closure or amalgamations which have affected many rival clubs. The club boasts a Members' Bar and two smoking rooms which are open to Gentleman Members and male Guests only, a billiard room, two drawing rooms both of which have wonderful views down Stratford Place to Oxford Street and a first-class dining room where members and their guests can enjoy fine dining and excellent wines at very reasonable cost. In addition there are thirty-two en-suite bedrooms and an attractive courtyard which can be used for parking and also for sitting out in clement weather.

Ohio Pet Trusts

Q.: Is there some kind of legal device I can use to make sure my pet is cared for after I’m gone?

A.: Yes. House Bill 416 has been passed by the Ohio legislature and signed into law. Effective January 1, 2007, Ohio Trust Code (O.R.C.) Section 5804.08 now allows you to create a trust specifically for the care of your pet.

Q.: Does the law cover all types of pets, or only dogs and cats?

A.: The law covers all animals, including dogs, cats, and even your pet tarantula if you choose to have one. However, the law covers only animals that were living when the person who created the trust (called the settler or grantor) was still alive. Also, the trust is effective for no longer than the duration of the lives of the animals it names.

Q.: Why didn’t Ohio law allow for pet trusts before now?

A.: Historically, pet trusts were invalid for two reasons. First, there was no human beneficiary who could be identified in definite and certain terms to enforce the trust. Second, the rule against perpetuities (a legal doctrine that was designed to prevent property ownership from being tied up for unreasonably long periods) requires a human “life-in-being” (the life of a person who can affect the vesting of the property interest) against which to measure the duration of the trust.

Under the 2007 law, a pet trust is valid in its own right and is no longer considered an “honorary” trust. This means that the trustee no longer has the option of whether or not to enforce the pet trust. The trustee must administer the trust and make distributions for the benefit of the pet, or the court will appoint a successor trustee. In the past, trustees have sometimes taken money provided through honorary trusts that was intended to be used for the care of pets, and used it for other purposes, instead.

Q.: How does a pet trust work?

A.: A pet trust must be created for the continued care and maintenance of a particular animal. The trust must be funded with some amount of money or property, and a trustee must be designated to administer the trust. Although a pet trust offers a level of protection for the pet that exceeds the sort of protection that was available through the use of honorary trusts, there are limitations. For example, the court has the authority to reduce the amount of caretaking funds to an amount it deems is reasonable for the care of the pet.

When creating such a trust, it is wise to name a person who would be willing and able, if necessary, to step forward to bring a legal action against the trust’s caretaker-trustee, should the trustee fail to honor the trust. The 2007 law does not change in any way O.R.C. Section 1721.12, which permits cemeteries to hold property in trust for the maintenance of animal gravesites.

Q.: What steps should I take if I want to prepare a trust for my pet?

A.: To create a workable pet trust, you should do the following:

• Select a trustee to administer the trust.

• Select a primary as well as a secondary caregiver.

• Prevent fraud by protecting your pet’s identity (for example, by inserting a microchip into your pet’s body to provide proof that the animal named in the trust is actually the beneficiary. In one case, an unscrupulous caregiver replaced a deceased cat with one cat after another for 30 years.

• Put pet care instructions, such as food preferences and exercise routine, in writing.

• Identify any health problems, medication or treatments, and a schedule of veterinary visits.

• Require the trustee to make regular inspections.

• Provide sufficient resources to cover pet care expenses, and specify how funds should be distributed (e.g., annually, quarterly, bi-monthly). Do not invite a court challenge to your trust by over-funding it.

• Provide the funding necessary to administer the estate.

• Specify how any funds remaining after the animal’s death should be used.

• State how the animal should be treated after its death (e.g, burial, cremation, etc.).

T, The New York Times Style Magazine, is a perfect-bound magazine dedicated to fashion, living, beauty, holiday, travel and design coverage. The magazine was launched in August 2004. It is published 15 times a year and distributed within the Sunday edition of The New York Times newspaper. The editor of T is Stefano Tonchi. T is not a supplement of The New York Times Sunday Magazine, but a distinct publication with dedicated staff.

An international edition of T will launch in December 2007.

William Hawks’ story is one of triumph and very humble beginnings. Born September 7, 1986 in Jacksonville, FL. William was raised in foster homes, group homes, and shelters. At times homeless, adolescence proved to be a struggle. While attending First Coast High School in Jacksonville, FL, Hawks received a letter from former Mayor John Delaney in recognition of his outstanding success as a first year NJROTC cadet. After frustrations with family issues, at age 17, Hawks left high school before completing the 10th grade. With little assistance from family, Hawks began working at a local McDonald’s.

On his 18th birthday he received a promotion to Shift Manager, and again shortly after his 19th birthday to Assistant General Manager. While managing the two million dollar business, Hawks not only established Human Resources and Safety/ Maintenance Programs, but he also earned an Outstanding Contributor Award from McDonald’s Corporation, two business management diplomas, a state certification in food and health control, and earned his High School Equivalency by graduating from Florida Community College at Jacksonville. To aid his mother in her battle with Lymphoma, Hawks resigned and moved to Tallahassee, FL.

Determined to continue his education, Hawks began classes at Tallahassee Community College. After completing his first term with a 3.0GPA, now 20, he began work with the Student Government Association. As a Senator and Committee Chairman, Hawks has completed 103.5 hours of community service while continuing to carry his exceptional GPA.

During Spring semester of 06-07’, William Hawks was elected the Student Body President 07-08’ of Tallahassee Community College.As Student Body President Hawks is working towards many initiatives at Tallahassee Community College in the Tallahassee Community.

Scott Coulter, or couter as he is known by his friends, is the proud son of enlightened and renonwed feminist, Ann Coulter. Scott, who bears a striking (see feminine) resemblence to his mother, enjoys day-trading (see losing money) and bragging to anybody who will listen about his running prowess (often daring friends to races....and then chickening out...again, reinforcing the couter nickname). Recently, Scott suffered a horrendous injury when both of his legs were broken at the ankles...horrible, terrrible break...bone sticking out of the skin, just horrible. The other players felt terrible. One, John, lamented the poor situation, "I told him not to guard Cheeks...he was just too much man for the little guy...

A landmark church and working monastery for the Benedictine Sisters of Perpetual Adoration, in Tucson, Arizona, USA. The building is widely acknowledged as a classic of mission style architecture.

The Benedictine Sisters first came to Tucson in 1935 at the invitation of Bishop Daniel Gercke. In 1940, they moved into the Spanish-Renaissance-style Benedictine Sisters Monastery, which was designed by architect Roy Place, who also designed the Old Pima County Courthouse and Tucson's veterans hospital.

Building of the Monastery was with funds supplied by St. Katherine Drexel, whose family had long had ties with the Tucson area.

J.M. Ledgard is a Scottish novelist. He is the author of [Giraffe] (2006), a novel.

Giraffe was published in Britain by [Random House] and in America by [Penguin]. Translations in French, Dutch, and Czech have also been released. Giraffe uses lyrical language to examine the true story of a killing of giraffes behind the Iron Curtain in 1975. Critics likened Ledgard's style to [W.G. Sebald], [Milan Kundera], [Italo Calvino], and [T.S. Eliot].

Ledgard was a finalist for the Commonwealth Writer's Prize (2007). Giraffe was named [Library Journal] Book of the Year (2006).

Ledgard has also been an award-winning foreign correspondent for [The Economist] since 1995, specialising in political and war reporting. He presently reports on Africa, travelling widely in the continent.

Ledgard was born in the [Shetland Islands] in 1968. He was educated in England, Scotland, and America. He is an occasional contributor to [The Atlantic Monthly].

Slave fiction is a subgenre of BDSM fiction where the object of a fictional story is to show how someone adopts to the life of being someone else's slave. These stories are usually erotic which is part of the appeal for readers.

Normally these stories begin with an unwilling captured subject who is processed and aclimated to the life of a slave. Usually the fictional slave either willingly accepts their status as a slave after time, or somehow overcomes the odds and become freed in some manner. The freed slaves usually must use some combination of skill, intelligence, and strength to overcome their captors.

The majority of these stories are gay oriented and mostly contain "straight" captured subjects that are introduced to homosexual slavery by their captors. However, they are also represented in heterosexual BDSM fiction, such as the 5 Gor novels written from the viewpoint of newly enslaved Earth women ('Captive', 'Slave Girl', 'Kajira' and 'Dancer') or men ('Fighting Slave').

The popularity of these stories is probably because they provide an acceptable way of exploring nonconsensual relationships, whilst still leading to a 'happily ever after' ending (one way or the other...) Additionally, they provide a setting in which to play out many of the themes of Bondage, SM and D/s from real-life BDSM as a plausible part of the narrative.

Spunky Ghost is a comic strip created in the mid 1970's by Roy and Chris Moses. It was inspired by the Moses brothers love of the Peanuts comic strip. The main character is Spunky Davis, a seemingly everyman or "everyghost". He's normal and as plain as his last name. He's surrounded by a collection of colorful characters. The main one's being Shooter Freeman, Far Out Freeman, Ivan Gustav, Millan Despook(the only character with a ghost sounding last name), Shrimp Gilley,and Blazer Dixon. Shooter(real name: Sam Freeman), and Far Out(real name Phil Freeman) are cousins who dress like hippies complete with shades and necklaces.They talk in 1970's hippie slang. Ivan is a brainy genius who is of russian descent and always wears a russian bear skin hat. Millan is a basketball fanatic who is always seen dribbling his ever present basketball in virtually every panel. Shrimp (real name Elroy) is so named because of his diminutive size. He's seen always wearing a beanie. Blazer(real name Martin) is a running enthusiast with incredible speed, thus the nickname. Some other characters featured from time to time include Jay, Jerry, Scoop(the only african american regular character) Bonnie(Spunky's sister) Susan and a few others. Despite the characters being ghosts, there is never a reference to this fact in the strip. They appear to be just regular characters functioning in the evryday world.There are occasionally passing references to adults in the strip, but they are never seen. The setting for Spunky Ghost is in the fictional town of Bennington, California believed to be located in the Central or Northern part of the Golden State. Like the characters in "Peanuts", the Spunky Ghost gang also has a baseball team: The Freeman Hardware Cardinals. Freeman Hardware is the business owned by Shooter's dad Jim Freeman. Unlike Charlie Brown's hapless team, the Cardinals are actually a very good team who win many games and have several standout players. There are many very funny cartoons in Spunky Ghost. Some of the better ones include Spunky lamenting the first day back to school after summer break complete with a lousy sack lunch consisting of pickle loaf on rye and a peach("It's what is known as the first day of school lunch!")There was also the time Spunky tried to assemble a tree house using a poor glue substitute known as mucelage when nails are in short supply. Another memorable cartoon has Spunky looking for the nearest exit when a trip to the music shop with Shooter and Far Out has the cousins jamming on the electric guitars and doing their version of Chuck Berry's famous duck walk. More belly laughs are had in a series where Scoop introduces his cousin Angelo. Angelo is of massive size and thus a good candidate for Spunky's football team. (The football team is featured only fleetingly in the strip). Despite his incredible size, Angelo informs Spunky that he's not very knowlegable about the game. When told to hit the weights, he does so quite literally breaking barbells and weight machines. Later in the series, Angelo informs Spunky he was running down the field and tripped over a set of bars sticking out of the back of the end zone. He tells Spunky that it will no longer be a problem since he ripped them out of the ground and threw them over the fence! Spunky just stands their in disbelief meekly saying "you tripped over the goalposts?" He repeats the question two or three times and in the last panel turning to the reader and still in disbelief says "He tripped over the goalposts."
