A by-election was held for the New South Wales Legislative Assembly electorate of Parramatta on 27 August 1994 following the death of Andrew Ziolkowski ({{Australian politics/name|Labor NSW}}).{{cite NSW Parliament |title=Mr Andrew Charles ZIOLKOWSKI (1963-1994) |id=2111 |former=Yes |access-date=13 May 2019}} The Labor candidate was his widow Gabrielle Harrison.
