Group stage

{{Main article|2018–19 Women's EHF Cup group stage}}

The draw for the group phase was held on Thursday, 22 November 2018. In each group, teams played against each other in a double round-robin format, with home and away matches.

class="wikitable collapsible collapsed"
Tiebreakers
In the group stage, teams were ranked according to points (2 points for a win, 1 point for a draw, 0 points for a loss). After completion of the group stage, if two or more teams have scored the same number of points, the ranking will be determined as follows:

  1. Highest number of points in matches between the teams directly involved;
  2. Superior goal difference in matches between the teams directly involved;
  3. Highest number of goals scored in matches between the teams directly involved (or in the away match in case of a two-team tie);
  4. Superior goal difference in all matches of the group;
  5. Highest number of plus goals in all matches of the group;

If the ranking of one of these teams is determined, the above criteria are consecutively followed until the ranking of all teams is determined. If no ranking can be determined, a decision shall be obtained by EHF through drawing of lots.

During the group stage, only criteria 4–5 apply to determine the provisional ranking of teams.

Knockout stage

The draw event was held at the EHF Office in Vienna on Tuesday 12 February 2019. The draw determined the quarter-final and also the semi-final pairings. The country protection rule was not applied in the draw, which means the four Danish teams can face their domestic rivals in the quarter-finals. However, teams from the same group could not meet in the next stage.{{cite news|title=Four Danish clubs in the Women's EHF Cup Quarter-final draw|url=http://europeancup.eurohandball.com/ehfc/en/women/news/DSwwfwD4Xz_H6qGtm1fKCA/Four_Danish_clubs_in_the_Women%2527s_EHF_Cup_Quarter-final_draw|publisher=European Handball Federation|date=11 February 2019}}{{cite news|title=All-Danish clash in the Women's EHF Cup quarter-final|url=http://europeancup.eurohandball.com/ehfc/2018-19/women/news/OpZTBXuEHUpvcQieCC3pRQ/All-Danish_clash_in_the_Women%2527s_EHF_Cup_quarter-final|publisher=European Handball Federation|date=12 February 2019}}
