The 2023 WAFF U-17 Girls Championship was the fourth edition of the WAFF U-17 Girls Championship, the international women's football youth championship of Western Asia organized by the West Asian Football Federation (WAFF). The final tournament was originally scheduled to be held in Lebanon.{{cite web |url=https://the-waff.com/archives/10270|title=بطولة الناشئات الرابعة في لبنان|language=ar|trans-title=WAFF Under-17 Girls Championship in Lebanon|date=26 September 2023|website=the-waff.com|publisher=West Asian Football Federation|access-date=14 June 2024}} However, the tournament was relocated to Jordan due to the adjacent Gaza war.{{cite web |url=https://the-waff.com/archives/10320|title=نقل بطولة الناشئات الرابعة إلى الأردن|trans-title=Relocating U-17 girls championship to Jordan|language=ar|date=16 October 2023|website=the-waff.com|publisher=WAFF|access-date=10 November 2023}}

Lebanon were two-time defending champions, having won the last two editions, but failed to defend their title, falling short of the final. Instead, they played in the third-place match and secured the bronze medal. On the other hand, Syria were crowned champions after defeating hosts Jordan 1–0 in the final.{{cite web |url=https://the-waff.com/archives/10404|title=المنتخب السوري يتوج بلقب بطولة الناشئات الرابعة|language=ar|trans-title=The Syrian team wins the title of the fourth U-17 Women's Championship.|date=15 November 2023|website=the-waff.com|publisher=West Asian Football Federation|access-date=14 June 2024}}{{cite web |url=https://www.kooora.com/?n=1285592#:~:text=%D8%B8%D9%81%D8%B1%20%D9%85%D9%86%D8%AA%D8%AE%D8%A8%20%D8%B3%D9%88%D8%B1%D9%8A%D8%A7%20%D8%A8%D9%84%D9%82%D8%A8%20%D8%A8%D8%B7%D9%88%D9%84%D8%A9,%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%A5%D9%8A%D8%AC%D8%A7%D8%A8%D9%8A%20(2%2D2).|title=سوريا تفوز على الأردن وتتوج بلقب غرب آسيا للناشئات|language=ar|trans-title=Syria defeats Jordan and wins the West Asia U-17 Women's Championship.|date=15 November 2023|website=kooora.com|access-date=14 June 2024}} This marked Syria's first-ever major title in women's football across all age categories.{{cite web |url=https://www.elsport.com/news/show/713450/%D9%86%D8%A7%D8%B4%D8%A6%D8%A7%D8%AA-%D8%B3%D9%88%D8%B1%D9%8A%D8%A7-%D9%8A%D8%AA%D9%88%D8%AC%D9%86-%D8%A8%D9%84%D9%82%D8%A8-%D8%A8%D8%B7%D9%88%D9%84%D8%A9-%D8%A7%D8%AA%D8%AD%D8%A7%D8%AF-%D8%BA%D8%B1%D8%A8-%D8%A2%D8%B3%D9%8A%D8%A7-%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%B1%D8%A7%D8%A8|title=ناشئات سوريا يتوجن بلقب بطولة اتحاد غرب آسيا الرابعة|language=ar|trans-title=Syria's U-17 girls' team wins the title of the fourth West Asia Federation Championship.|date=14 June 2024|website=elsport.com|access-date=14 June 2024}}{{cite web |url=https://damapost.com/16/11/2023/%D9%84%D9%84%D9%85%D8%B1%D8%A9-%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%A3%D9%88%D9%84%D9%89-%D9%85%D9%86%D8%AA%D8%AE%D8%A8-%D8%B3%D9%88%D8%B1%D9%8A%D8%A9-%D9%84%D9%84%D9%86%D8%A7%D8%B4%D8%A6%D8%A7%D8%AA-%D9%8A%D8%AD%D9%82/18163/|title=للمرة الأولى.. منتخب سورية للناشئات يحقق بطولة غرب آسيا لكرة القدم|language=ar|trans-title=For the first time, the Syrian U-17 women's team wins the West Asia Football Championship|date=16 November 2023|website=damapost.com|access-date=14 June 2024}}
