{{Emmys short description|2019}}
The 47th Daytime Emmy Awards, presented by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS), honored the best in U.S. daytime television programming in 2019. The winners in leading categories were presented in a remotely-produced special aired by CBS on June 26, hosted by the panel of the network's daytime talk show The Talk.

Ceremony information
The 47th Daytime Emmy Awards were originally scheduled for the first time to be presented over three nights, instead of the traditional main ceremony and the separate Creative Arts ceremony, to honor its ever expanding set of award categories. On March 19, 2020, the NATAS postponed the ceremonies due to the COVID-19 pandemic.{{cite web|title= Work on 47th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards Will Continue, Despite Postponement |url= https://www.indiewire.com/2020/03/47th-annual-daytime-emmy-awards-postponed-1202219232/ |website=indiewire.com | date=March 19, 2020 }}{{cite web|title= Daytime Emmys Postponed|url= https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/daytime-emmys-postponed-response-coronavirus-1285538|website =hollywoodreporter.com |date=March 19, 2020 }} The NATAS then announced on April 28 that the awards would be presented at a date to be determined later, in a remotely-produced "virtual" format.{{cite web|title= Daytime, Sports and News & Doc Emmys to Be Handed Out in "Virtual" Ceremonies|url= https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/daytime-sports-news-doc-emmys-presented-virtual-ceremonies-1292404|website =hollywoodreporter.com |date=April 29, 2020}}
On May 20, the NATAS announced that the winners in leading categories would be presented in a special airing June 26 on CBS. It marked the first time that the Daytime Emmys were broadcast on U.S. TV since 2015 (after being relegated to a webcast), and the ceremony's return to both CBS and broadcast television for the first time since 2011. The special was produced by Associated Television International, which had produced previous Daytime Emmys ceremonies for CBS. The nominees were announced the next day on CBS's daytime talk show The Talk, whose panel would later be announced as hosts of the special.{{cite news|url=https://deadline.com/2020/05/daytime-emmy-awards-2020-cbs-date-schedule-1202939440/|title=Daytime Emmys To Air Live Virtual Ceremony On CBS In June; Nominations Coming Thursday|first=Patrick|last=Hipes|website=Deadline Hollywood|publisher=Penske Media Corporation|location=United States|date=May 20, 2020|access-date=May 20, 2020}}{{Cite web|last=Schneider|first=Michael|date=2020-06-18|title=Daytime Emmys 2020 to be Hosted by the Stars of CBS' 'The Talk'|url=https://variety.com/2020/tv/news/daytime-emmys-hosts-cbs-the-talk-2020-1234641717/|access-date=2020-06-22|website=Variety|language=en}}
Some of the additional award categories were announced simultaneously on Twitter, while others are planned to be announced separately later in July 2020. The Spanish language winners have yet to be announced and no clear date has been set.

As part of several initiatives regarding gender identity, the NATAS decided to replace both the younger actor and younger actress drama categories with a single gender-neutral Outstanding Younger Performer in a Drama Series.{{cite news|title=Daytime Emmys Combine Young Performer Categories, Clarify Gender Identity Rules|url=https://variety.com/2019/tv/news/daytime-emmys-rules-gender-young-performer-categories-2020-1203388913/|publisher=Variety|date=October 31, 2019|access-date=January 6, 2020}}
