Background

An early version of "4ware" was uploaded to Zimmerman's SoundCloud in March 2016. However, it has since been removed following his account's compromisation in May 2016.{{cite web|title=Deadmau5 Is SERIOUSLY Pissed At Soundcloud|work=YourEDM|date=25 May 2016 |url=https://www.youredm.com/2016/05/25/deadmau5-seriously-pissed-soundcloud|access-date=9 February 2018}}{{cite web|title=Deadmau5 Deletes Soundcloud Account|work=edm.com|url=https://edm.com/articles/2014/1/11/deadmau5-deletes-soundcloud-account|access-date=9 February 2018|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20170520002403/http://edm.com/articles/2014/1/11/deadmau5-deletes-soundcloud-account|archive-date=20 May 2017|url-status=dead}}

After this, rumours were spread that "4ware" was to be released as a single.{{cite web|title=deadmau5 Premieres First Single from Upcoming W:/2016ALBUM|work=edm.com|url=https://edm.com/articles/2016/11/5/deadmau5-4ware|access-date=9 February 2018|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20170423111000/http://edm.com/articles/2016/11/5/deadmau5-4ware|archive-date=23 April 2017|url-status=dead}}{{cite web|title=deadmau5 debuts glorious new single '4ware' on BBC Radio 1|work=Dancing Astronaut|date=5 November 2016 |url=http://www.dancingastronaut.com/2016/11/deadmau5-debuts-official-4ware-bbc-radio-1/|access-date=9 February 2018}} However, the song has seen no single release since, and "Let Go" was later released, on November 18, as the album's following single.{{cite magazine|title=deadmau5 Drops Sweeping Single 'Let Go,' Launches Album Pre-Order: Listen|magazine=Billboard|url=https://www.billboard.com/articles/news/dance/7581309/deadmau5-w2016album-pre-order-let-go|access-date=9 February 2018}}{{cite web|title=deadmau5 releases new vocal single 'Let Go'|work=Dancing Astronaut|date=18 November 2016 |url=http://www.dancingastronaut.com/2016/11/deadmau5-let-go/|access-date=9 February 2018}}
