Career
= Early life =
Hailing from Tooting in South London, Keen was born to a Swiss-Ghanaian mother and a British father: musician/producer Paul Keen. Keen was born into a musical family: Her older sister, Rachel, has charted internationally under the pop alias RAYE, and another sister Lauren Keen is also a musician.{{Cite web|url=https://www.standard.co.uk/culture/music/who-is-raye-brit-awards-seven-nominations-b1134576.html|title=How Raye overcame industry misogyny to become Britain's brightest star|first=El|last=Hunt|date=March 4, 2024|website=The Standard}} Keen first went viral in her early teens with a series of lifestyle videos on social media, around the time she was singing and writing for the Keen family kids' country-pop group the Runaway Hamsters.{{Cite web|url=https://www.iheart.com/artist/absolutely-31167053/|title=Absolutely|website=iHeart}} After several initial songwriting successes, Keen moved to Los Angeles.{{Cite web|url=https://www.nylon.com/entertainment/absolutely-mia-song-raye-tour|title=Meet Absolutely, LA's New Pop Savant — And RAYE's Little Sister|date=February 20, 2024|website=Nylon|access-date=March 29, 2025|archive-date=September 20, 2024|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20240920110742/https://www.nylon.com/entertainment/absolutely-mia-song-raye-tour|url-status=live}}

In 2019, Keen independently-released a series of EPs under the alias àB. In 2023, after receiving her first songwriting hits for Nelson and Normani, Keen decided to rebrand to name ABsolutely coupled with the release of debut single "Higher".{{Cite web|url=https://www.flaunt.com/post/absolutely-the-debut-of-higher|title=ABsolutely; The Debut of 'Higher'|website=Flaunt|access-date=April 3, 2025|archive-date=January 26, 2025|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20250126195313/https://www.flaunt.com/post/absolutely-the-debut-of-higher|url-status=live}} She also subsequently released debut major-label album CEREBRUM, executive produced by Dave Hamelin, to acclaim in 2023.{{Cite web|url=https://flmag.co.uk/article/absolutely-interview-music-is-my-first-language-really/|title=Absolutely interview: 'Music is my first language, really'|website=Frontline}} Standout single "MIA" was described by writer Steffanee Wang of art-fashion publication Nylon as "geniunely great", noting "a dash of rockish guitar, a bit of woozy soul, and a dose wobbly, discordant synths. There’s a strong melodic backbone that she adorns with her own quirks, scuzzying it up with contrasting textures while her silky voice flies free." Keen also supported her sister on the Manchester, Birmingham and Glasgow dates of her My 21st Century Blues Tour.{{Cite web|url=https://www.tmrwmagazine.com/en/news/on-tour-with-absolutely|title=On Tour with : Absolutely|website=www.tmrwmagazine.com}}{{Cite web|url=https://www.euphoriazine.com/blog/2024/02/music-absolutely-my-21st-century-blues-tour-diary/|title=Absolutely My 21st Century Blues Tour Diary|first=Fabio|last=Magnocavallo|date=February 28, 2024|website=Euphoria}}
