Alan M. Leventhal has lectured at the Tuck School of Business and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Center for Real Estate.{{citation needed|date=May 2019}} Leventhal was awarded an honorary Doctor of Laws from Boston University on May 17, 2009.
