In 2013, there were reports that the party agreed to merge with the MNP.{{Cite news|url=http://monnews.org/2013/11/26/two-mon-political-parties-announce-merger/|title=Two Mon political parties announce a merger|date=26 November 2013|publisher=Mon News Agency}} However, a party called the AMRDP contested the 2015 general election, where it won no seats in the national parliament and just one seat in the Mon State Hluttaw.
