The Alliance of Independent Authors (often abbreviated to ALLi, pronounced "ally") is a non-profit organisation of independent (or self-published) authors. Campaigns

The Alliance runs several campaigns on behalf of independent authors. In May 2013 they started the "Open Up To Indies" campaign,{{cite web |last1=Farrington |first1=Joshua| title=ALLi calls on trade to 'open up' |url=https://www.thebookseller.com/news/alli-calls-trade-open |website=The Bookseller |accessdate=21 February 2020}} which called on literary and book trade organizations to recognize independent authors, allow them to join organizations, enter competitions, etc. In 2014, the campaign was relaunched as "Open Up To Indie Authors" in conjunction with Kobo,{{cite web |last1=Campbell |first1=Lisa |title=Kobo backs ALLi petition |url=https://www.thebookseller.com/news/kobo-backs-alli-petition |website=The Bookseller |accessdate=21 February 2020}} with the release of a guidebook, Opening Up to Indie Authors{{cite book |last1=Young |first1=Debbie |title=Opening Up to Indie Authors |date=March 24, 2014 |publisher=Font Publications}} by Debbie Young.
