Geography

Altybaysor is an endorheic lake of the northern end of the Kazakh Uplands at an elevation of {{convert|110|m|sp=us}}. The Irtysh flows {{convert|50|km|sp=us}} to the east of the eastern shores of the lake.

There are a number of smaller lakes in its vicinity, such as Zhamantuz (Aksu City Administration) {{convert|23|km|sp=us}} to the northwest, Zhamantuz (May District) {{convert|47|km|sp=us}} to the SSE, Batyrsha {{convert|11|km|sp=us}} to the west and Bozshasor {{convert|4|km|sp=us}} to the south.
