The An-Nur Tongkang Mosque ({{zh|t=東港清真寺|s=东港清真寺|first=t|p=Dōnggǎng Qīngzhēnsì}}) is a mosque in Donggang Township, Pingtung County, Taiwan. It is the eighth mosque built in Taiwan. It is also the first mosque in Pingtung County.

History

The mosque originally started inside a rented house at 34-1 Fengyu Street (豐漁街) in Donggang Township,{{cite web|url=https://www.google.com.my/maps/@22.4642367,120.443987,3a,75y,356.55h,86.36t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sNoOMhEOBlqwyoNeaXJA2MA!2e0!7i13312!8i6656?hl=en|title=Google Maps|website=Google Maps}} in which most of the worshipers are Indonesian fishermen from the area.{{cite web|url=https://inet.detik.com/video/170630002/melihat-masjid-pertama-buruh-migran-indonesia-di-taiwan|date=24 December 2017|title=Melihat Masjid Pertama Buruh Migran Indonesia di Taiwan|first1=Pasti|last1=Liberti|publisher=detikinet|accessdate=24 December 2017|language=Indonesian}}{{cite web|url=http://www.cna.com.tw/postwrite/Detail/229104.aspx#.WxCj2O6FOpo|title=屏縣第一座清真寺在東港開幕 全國印尼移工大聚會|publisher=CNA|accessdate=1 June 2018|language=zh|archive-date=20 July 2020|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20200720102807/https://www.cna.com.tw/postwrite/Detail/229104.aspx#.WxCj2O6FOpo|url-status=dead}} After enough funds were collected over the past 10 years, worshipers had the idea to purchase the rented house and convert it into a mosque. Due to the reluctance of the house owner to sell it, worshipers had to look for a different house. They finally found one nearby the first house in Xingyu Street (興漁街), which is still located within the same township, and purchased it for an amount of NT$5.4 million. It was then renovated for a cost of NT$1 million with the addition of a wudu area and some air conditioning systems. It was eventually turned into the mosque.{{cite news|last=Mappapa|first=Pasti Liberti|date=24 June 2017|url=https://news.detik.com/berita/d-3541139/kisah-buruh-migran-indonesia-yang-mendirikan-masjid-di-taiwan|title=Kisah Buruh Migran Indonesia yang Mendirikan Masjid di Taiwan|work=detiknews|accessdate=24 December 2017|language=id|trans-title=The Story of Indonesian Migrant Workers who Built Mosque in Taiwan}} The mosque was officially opened on 18 February 2018.{{cite web|url=http://www.gftv.com.tw/telah-diresmikan-masjid-nur-tongkang-pingtung/|date=21 February 2018|first1=Dyah Ayu|last1=Kusumaningtyas|title=Telah Diresmikan Masjid An Nur Tongkang, Pingtung|publisher=GFTV|accessdate=23 February 2018|language=Indonesian|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20180223171641/http://www.gftv.com.tw/telah-diresmikan-masjid-nur-tongkang-pingtung/|archive-date=23 February 2018|url-status=dead}}{{cite web|last=Yunita|first=Niken Widya|date=19 February 2018|url=https://news.detik.com/berita/d-3875042/masjid-dan-shelter-pekerja-migran-ri-dibangun-di-taiwan|title=Masjid dan Shelter Pekerja Migran RI Dibangun di Taiwan|publisher=detikNews|accessdate=23 February 2018|language=id|trans-title=Mosque and Indonesian Migrant Worker Shelter Built in Taiwan}}{{cite web|last=李|first=文潔|url=https://www.taiwannews.com.tw/ch/news/3372760|date=27 February 2018|title=印尼籍移工募資建清真寺 屏縣新移民各單位齊賀|script-work=zh:台灣英文新聞|trans-work=Taiwan News|accessdate=1 June 2018|language=zh|trans-title=Indonesian Migrant Workers Raises Funds to Build Mosque}}
