An Evening with Adele was the debut concert tour by English singer-songwriter Adele, in support of her debut studio album, 19. The tour was unusual in that it included few dates in the United Kingdom, Adele's home country and the territory where 19 was the most successful. Instead, the tour focused heavily on North America.
In 2008, Adele canceled her tours in Germany, Japan, and the United States. The cancellation was reported to be due to family issues.{{cite web |url=https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/entertainment/music/music-news/adele-blames-trouble-at-home-for-tour-989314|title=Adele blames trouble at home for tour cancellation|date=4 September 2008 |work=dailyrecord}}
In a candid interview with Nylon magazine, Adele explained: "I was really unhappy at home and there was a lot of family issues going on... But I got better again - I stopped drinking."
"We refer to that period as my E.L.C., my Early Life Crisis. Now I'm sober, I'm like, 'I can't believe I did that.' It seems so ungrateful."
and the tour gained some notoriety when she cancelled tour dates in 2008 in order to spend time with her then-boyfriend, an incident she later expressed regret over.{{cite web |url=http://www.contactmusic.com/news.nsf/article/adele-explains-2008-booze-love-meltdown_1105845|title=Adele Explains Booze & Love Meltdown |date=8 June 2009 |work= Contact Music |accessdate=24 March 2012}}
One of the last performances on the tour took place at the historic Hollywood Bowl. Etta James was supposed to appear at the performance but cancelled at the last-minute due to illness and was replaced by Chaka Khan.
