Criticism

When Lamentillo parroted Marcos’ website assertions that he "authored landmark laws such as the Philippine Archipelagic Baselines law" in her Manila Bulletin column, her false claim was fact-checked and criticized.{{cite news|url=https://www.philstar.com/headlines/2022/01/18/2154503/fact-check-who-authored-bills-philippine-archipelagic-baselines-law| title=Fact check: Who authored the bills for the Philippine Archipelagic Baselines law?|newspaper=The Philippine Star|date=January 18, 2022|accessdate=February 5, 2025|first=Kristine Joy|last=Patag}} She would later reword it with a phrase “was a part of” instead of "authored."{{cite news|url=https://abogado.com.ph/sinabon-tuloy-ni-prof-wannabe-abogado-anna-mae-lamentillo-falsely-credits-marcos-jr-for-baselines-law-1/|title=Sinabon tuloy ni Prof: Wannabe abogado Anna Mae Lamentillo falsely credits Marcos, Jr. for baselines law|date=January 15, 2022|accessdate=February 2, 2025|website=Abogado}}
