The Arakan Rohingya Islamic Front (ARIF) was a Rohingya insurgent group active in northern Rakhine State, Myanmar (Burma). The group was made up of Rohingya fighters led by Nurul Islam, a Yangon-educated lawyer. The group was created after uniting the remnants of the Rohingya Patriotic Front (RPF) and a defecting faction of the Rohingya Solidarity Organisation (RSO) that was under the command of Nurul Islam.{{cite web|title=Burma/Bangladesh: Burmese Refugees In Bangladesh - Historical Background|url=https://www.hrw.org/reports/2000/burma/burm005-01.htm|website=www.hrw.org|publisher=Human Rights Watch|accessdate=22 March 2018|language=en|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20180628114708/https://www.hrw.org/reports/2000/burma/burm005-01.htm|archive-date=2018-06-28|url-status=live}}{{cite book|last1=Jilani|first1=A. On 28 October 1998, the ARIF merged with the RSO and formed the Arakan Rohingya National Organisation (ARNO), operating in-exile in Cox's Bazar. The Rohingya National Army (RNA) was established as its armed wing.

It was responsible for a bomb attack on a military target in Maungdaw, Rakhine State, on 10 November 1991. It killed eight people.{{Cite web |title=Incident Summary for GTDID: 199111100011 |url=https://www.start.umd.edu/gtd/search/IncidentSummary.aspx?gtdid=199111100011 |access-date=2022-05-19 |website=www.start.umd.edu}}
