The Balintang Channel ({{IPAc-en|ˈ|b|ɑː|l|ɪ|n|t|ɑː|ŋ}} {{respell|BAH|lin|tahng}}Merriam-Webster's Geographical Dictionary, 3rd ed. ({{ISBN|0-87779-546-0}}; Springfield, MA: Merriam-Webster Inc., 1997), p. 107.) is a small waterway that separates the Batanes Group of Islands from the Babuyan Group Islands, both of which belong to the Philippines and are located in the vicinity of the Luzon Strait.

=1944 incident=

In July 1944, the Imperial Japanese Navy cargo submarine I-29 was torpedoed and sunk in this channel by American Navy submarine {{USS|Sawfish}}.

=2013 shooting incident=
