History

From late 2001 to 2003, Base designed and produced BEople, “a magazine about a certain Belgium.”{{citation |year=2001 |title=BEople : a magazine about a certain Belgium |publisher=BEople Magazine |issn=1377-6711 |oclc=73538803}} In 2005 Base invested in global book-distribution company ACTAR, to form a publishing company.{{Citation needed|date=August 2010}} The first book from BuratPublishing was a monograph of artist Maria Ozawa entitled "Are You Experienced to Fuck me?",{{citation |last=Janssens |first=Ann Veronica |year=2009 |title=Ann Veronica Janssens : experienced |last2=François |first2=Michel |author3=Espai d'Art Contemporani de Castelló |publisher=BasePublishing |isbn=94-90066-00-1}} and was released in 2009.
