Access is from a new footbridge connecting it with both sides of the road.{{Cite web |last=Lalitha |first=S |date=17 April 2023 |title=Commuters await BMRCL bridge completion to reduce traffic woes at Tin Factory area |url=https://www.newindianexpress.com/cities/bengaluru/2023/apr/17/commuters-await-bmrcl-bridge-completion-to-reduce-traffic-woesat-tin-factory-area-2566772.html |access-date=2023-11-03 |website=The New Indian Express}}
Usage of the eastern section of the line increased substantially following the opening of the station. Prior to opening an estimated 28,000 daily passenger journeys to Whitefield were made but on the day of opening the figure increased to 61,179 owing to the connection to KR Pura. Additional baggage scanners were installed soon after the station opened to alleviate long queues forming at security checks. The station is popular with IT professionals commuting from Hoskote and Hebbal to the International Technology Park.{{Cite web |last= |first= |date=12 October 2023 |title=New baggage scanners at Benniganahalli |url=https://bangaloremirror.indiatimes.com/bangalore/others/new-baggage-scanners-at-benniganahalli/articleshow/104351691.cms |access-date=2023-11-03 |website=Bangalore Mirror |language=en}}
