Personal life

Pauch attended Hunterdon Central Regional High School, which was located near the Flemington Speedway. At the time, you couldn't race in New Jersey until you were 18, so Pauch started on Pennsylvania tracks. But each day he went to school he saw the Flemington track a few hundred yards away, and it became his home track for the next couple of decades.Strauss, Robert. His son Billy Pauch Jr. raced the Whelen Modified Tour and the Super DIRTcar Series.{{cite news|title=Pauch Jr. takes memories, family traditions to DIRTcar Nationals|url=https://www.speedsport.com/dirt-late-models/dirt-modifieds/pauch-jr-takes-memories-family-traditions-to-dirtcar-nationals/|publisher=Speed Sport|date=December 17, 2023|accessdate=September 10, 2024}}
