On April 23, 2024, it was announced that Mötley Crüe had signed a deal with Big Machine Records, and three days later the band released "Dogs of War", their first song in five years and their first with John 5. Neil told Billboard that same month that additional music from Mötley Crüe could be released by the end of 2024 or in 2025, but also stated that new material could result in "a few songs here, a few songs there" rather than a full-length album.{{cite web |title=Vince Neil On New Mötley Crüe Song 'Dogs of War': It's 'Like Old School Meets New School' |url=https://blabbermouth.net/news/vince-neil-on-new-motley-crue-song-dogs-of-war-its-like-old-school-meets-new-school |website=Blabbermouth.net |access-date=August 26, 2024 |date=April 24, 2024 |archive-date=April 24, 2024 |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20240424184013/https://blabbermouth.net/news/vince-neil-on-new-motley-crue-song-dogs-of-war-its-like-old-school-meets-new-school |url-status=live }} Drummer Tommy Lee did not rule out releasing a new Mötley Crüe album, but stated that "recording and writing some stuff that you're feeling right at the moment and releasing it is, for us, a lot more fun and sort of a time stamp of where we're at right now."{{Cite web |url=https://blabbermouth.net/news/tommy-lee-doesnt-know-if-a-new-full-length-album-is-in-motley-crues-future |title=Tommy Lee Doesn't Know If a New Full-Length Album Is in Mötley Crüe's Future |date=May 3, 2024 |access-date=August 26, 2024 |archive-date=May 3, 2024 |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20240503225118/https://blabbermouth.net/news/tommy-lee-doesnt-know-if-a-new-full-length-album-is-in-motley-crues-future |url-status=live }} Sixx said that the band had recorded two other new singles that were ready to be released.{{cite web |title=Mötley Crüe's Nikki Sixx Confirms New Music: "We Got Two More Singles Recorded and Ready to Be Released |url=https://www.sonicperspectives.com/news/motley-crues-nikki-sixx-confirms-new-music-weve-got-two-more-singles-recorded-and-ready-to-release/ |website=SonicPerspective |access-date=August 26, 2024 |date=July 1, 2024}}
