Carex laevigata, the smooth-stalked sedge,{{BSBI 2007 |accessdate=2014-10-17 }} is a species of sedge. It lives in moist, shady environment in the lowlands of Western and Central Europe, particularly in alder–ash woodland.{{cite book |author1=A. C. Jermy |author2=D. A. Simpson |author3=M. J. Y.
