Carlin Canyon is a steep-sided canyon carved by the Humboldt River in southwestern Elko County, Nevada, United States.{{cite gnis|847273|Carlin Canyon}} The California Trail,Willis California Trail guide [http://www.yosemite.ca.us/library/yosemite_nature_notes/32/32-12.pdf] Accessed 15 March 2010 First transcontinental railroad and Victory Highway have all passed through the canyon in the past.
