Career

Cedric's stage name came about when he felt that his real name, Cedric Kyles, sounded too formal. He settled on his stage name when someone introduced him as "an entertainer, Cedric the entertainer" and the name stuck.{{cite AV media |url=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=73HVdMeLHio |title=How Did Cedric The Entertainer Get His Name? |date=January 29, 2023 |publisher=The Byron Scott Podcast |access-date=August 18, 2023 |website=YouTube}}
