Cheap Cheap Cheap is a British television game show produced by Hat Trick Productions for Channel 4, presented and created by Noel Edmonds. Billed as "a game show that thinks it's a sitcom", the show takes place in a fictional general store and centres on a game show, hosted by the store owner (Edmonds).{{cite news|last1=Power|first1=Ed|title=Is Noel Edmonds' Cheap Cheap Cheap the most tragically weird show ever made?|url=https://www.telegraph.co.uk/tv/2017/08/18/noel-edmonds-cheap-cheap-cheap-tragically-weird-show-ever-made/|accessdate=6 September 2017|work=The Telegraph|date=18 August 2017}}{{cite news|last1=Heritage|first1=Stuart|title=Noel Edmonds: TV's emperor of folly|url=https://www.theguardian.com/tv-and-radio/2017/aug/14/noel-edmonds-tvs-emperor-of-folly-cheap-cheap-cheap|accessdate=6 September 2017|work=The Guardian|date=14 August 2017}} He is joined by the shop's eccentric staff, played by actors who appear throughout the game.{{Cite news|last=Weatherby|first=Bronwen|date=10 August 2017|title='Cheap Cheap Cheap': Noel Edmonds returns to Channel 4 with 'craziest of comedy game shows'|work=Bristol Post|url=https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/news/celebs-tv/cheap-cheap-cheap-noel-edmonds-309501|access-date=31 May 2020}}
Edmonds conceived the idea and showed it to the Hat Trick Productions managing director Jimmy Mulville. The pair agreed to develop the premise and filmed the show's pilot episode after the production company constructed a studio inside a recreation area in Somerset. The television channel Channel 4 viewed the pilot and ordered a series of thirty episodes to be filmed.{{Cite web|url=https://www.broadcastnow.co.uk/cheap-cheap-cheap-/5116125.article|title=Hot Picks: Cheap, Cheap, Cheap|last=Blazeby|first=Miranda|date=28 March 2017|website=Broadcast|archive-url=|archive-date=|access-date=16 September 2019}}
Pairs of contestants are invited up to win an increasing amount of money by correctly picking the cheapest of three similar items, taken from the shop's stock.
