The Christian Democratic Voice (CDV) is a political party in Namibia. It was launched in 2014 and has about 8,000 members.{{cite news | url=https://www.namibian.com.na/82819/read/RDP-Christian-Democratic-Voice-form-coalition | newspaper=The Namibian | title = RDP, Christian Democratic Voice form coalition | publisher = Namibia Press Agency | date=6 September 2019 | page=3}}

Political position

The Christian Democratic Voice has its main backing in Pentecostal and Charismatic Christians. The CDV demand "that Namibia be declared a Christian state"{{cite news | url=https://www.namibian.com.na/177224/archive-read/Namibia-should-be-a-Christian-state%E2%80%94CDV-Party | newspaper=The Namibian | title=Namibia should be a Christian state – CDV Party | last=Hilukilwa | first=Placido | date=9 May 2018 | page=7 | access-date=8 September 2019 | archive-date=16 October 2019 | archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20191016110450/https://www.namibian.com.na/177224/archive-read/Namibia-should-be-a-Christian-state%25E2%2580%2594CDV-Party | url-status=dead }} and endorses that "spiritual leaders" are needed in parliament to keep the balance of power in Namibia.

Pentecostal and Charismatic sects in Namibia are accused of exploiting desperate members of the Namibian society. General-secretary Faustus Thomas, although admitting certain problems among these groups, rejects a control of these organizations and insisted that they be given time to regulate themselves.

The party calls itself the only pro-life party in Namibia.[http://www.sun.com.na/politics/new-political-party-block.51903 New political party on the block.] Namibian Sun, 16. Election results
