The Chuvash Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic{{efn|{{langx|cv|Чӑваш Автономлӑ Совет Социаллӑ Республики|Çăvaş Avtonomlă Sovet Sotsiallă Respubliki}}; {{langx|ru|Чувашская Автономная Советская Социалистическая Республика|Chuvashskaya Avtonomnaya Sovetskaya Sotsialisticheskaya Respublika}}}} was an autonomous republic of the Russian SFSR within the Soviet Union.

It occupied about {{convert|18000|km2|abbr=off}} along the east bank of the Volga River, about {{convert|60|km|abbr=off}} west of the river's confluence with the Kama River and some {{convert|700|km|abbr=off}} east of Moscow.{{Fact|date=August 2021}}
