Colyttus is a genus of Asian jumping spiders that was first described by Tamerlan Thorell in 1891.{{cite journal| last=Thorell| first=T.| year=1891| title=Spindlar från Nikobarerna och andra delar af södra Asien| journal=Kongliga Svenska Vetenskaps-Akademiens Handlingar| pages=1–149| volume=24| issue=2| author-link=Tamerlan Thorell}} C. lehtinen is named in honor of Finnish arachnologist Pekka T.
