Courcouronnes ({{IPA|fr|kuʁkuʁɔn|-|Fr-Paris--Courcouronnes.ogg}}) is a former commune in the southern suburbs of Paris, France. On 1 January 2019, it was merged into the new commune Évry-Courcouronnes.{{cite web|title=Arrêté préfectoral de l'Essonne, 12 Octobre 2018|url=http://www.essonne.gouv.fr/content/download/25837/204349/file/RAA+n°+127+publié+le+18+10.pdf|access-date=19 October 2018|pages=83–86}} It is located {{convert|26.4|km|mi|abbr=on}} from the centre of Paris, in the "new town" of Évry Ville Nouvelle, created in the 1960s.

== Parks and recreation ==
Parc-du-Lac Courcouronnes is a relatively large park with a walking trail and a small lake. En bordure du lac de Courcouronnes, la sculpture" The wall has long since been closed to the public, however trespassers continue to use it regularly. The wall was made famous by its appearance in television broadcasts about the sport of Parkour, which was developed in Lisses and Évry-Courcouronnes by David Belle.
