Cyranorhis is an extinct genus of marine ray-finned fish that lived during the Serpukhovian age of the Carboniferous period. One species is known, C. bergeraci in the Bear Gulch Limestone what is now Montana, United States.{{cite book |last1=Schultze |first1=Hans-Peter |author-link1=Hans-Peter Schultze |last2=Mickle |first2=Kathryn E. |last3=Poplin |first3=Cecile |last4=Hilton |first4=Eric J. |last5=Grande |first5=Lance |date=2021 |title=Handbook of Paleoichthyology, 8A. Classification
It is a member of the Rhadinichthyidae, a family of basal ray-finned fish that was formerly placed in the now-paraphyletic order Palaeonisciformes.{{Cite book |last=Mickle |first=Kathryn E. |url=https://kuscholarworks.ku.edu/handle/1808/10300 |title=Unraveling the Systematics of Palaeoniscoid Fishes--Lower Actinopterygians in Need of a Complete Phylogenetic Revision |date=2012-05-31 |publisher=University of Kansas (dissertation) |pages=488 |language=en}} Based on the cladistic analysis by Ren & Xu, Cyranorhis was recovered in a sister group relationship with the Triassic Pteronisculus which may thus represent a late-surviving rhadinichthyid.{{cite journal |last1=Ren |first1=Yi |last2=Xu |first2=Guang-Hui |date=2021 |title=A new species of Pteronisculus from the Middle Triassic (Anisian) of Luoping, Yunnan, China, and phylogenetic relationships of early actinopterygian fishes |url=https://www.researchgate.net/publication/353373478 |journal=Vertebrata PalAsiatica |volume=59 |pages=169–199 |doi=10.19615/j.cnki.2096-9899.210518 |s2cid=238786196}}
