2010 Kyrgyz rioting
During the 2010 Kyrgyzstan uprising, the political opposition led by the Social Democratic Party of Kyrgyzstan seized control of Bishkek, the Kyrgyz capital. After President Kurmanbek Bakiyev reportedly fled the capital in a private airplane, opposition leader Temir Sariyev announced on the radio that Prime Minister Usenov had resigned after negotiations with Social Democratic Party leaders.{{cite news|agency=The Regional Times of Sindh |title=Kyrgyz PM resigns, claims Opposition—Anti-govt protests kill 100 including Interior Minister |date=7 April 2010 |url=http://www.regionaltimes.com/08apr2010/backpagenews/ky.htm |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20110715171448/http://www.regionaltimes.com/08apr2010/backpagenews/ky.htm |url-status=dead |archive-date=15 July 2011 }}
