Daniel Bartlett Allyn (born 24 Sep 1959) is a retired United States Army general who served as the 35th Vice Chief of Staff of the United States Army from 2014 until 2017. Early life and education
Allyn was born in New Hampshire on 25 July 1959, and raised in Berwick, Maine.{{cite book|title=Register of Graduates and Former Cadets of the United States Military Academy|author1=West Point Alumni Foundation, inc|author2=United States Military Academy. Career

In 2013, Allyn was the honoree of the Patriot Foundation, an organization that provides scholarships and other support to the families of soldiers who have served in airborne, special operations and other army specialty units.
