Design and style

The hotel, along with the Mamilla development project across the street, was designed by Moshe Safdie{{cite web |url= http://www.msafdie.com/php/print_project.php?id=53 |publisher= Moshe Safdie Associates |title= Safdie Projects }}{{Dead link|date=July 2019 |bot=InternetArchiveBot |fix-attempted=yes }} as a U-shaped structure rising 8 stories high with 384 rooms and suites. It has terrace-style suites that overlook the Old City of Jerusalem and the Tower of David. A glass-domed public lobby in the inner part of the "U" was designed by Piero Lissoni. The building sports a neo-Oriental style which blends Middle-Eastern and classic Jerusalem architectural elements.{{dubious|What is "neo-Oriental style"? How is "Middle-Eastern" architecture different from the "classic Jerusalem" one? Many words with no meaning in this context.|date=August 2016}}{{citation needed|date=August 2016}}
