David Dockendorf (November 2, 1923 – April 15, 1997) was an American sound engineer. He was nominated for an Academy Award in the category Sound Recording for the film Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.{{Cite web|url=http://www.oscars.org/oscars/ceremonies/1970 |title=The 42nd Academy Awards (1970) Nominees and Winners |access-date=August 26, 2011|work=oscars.org}} He worked on 100 films between 1958 and 1990.
At the 24th British Academy Film Awards, he won a BAFTA Award for Best Soundtrack.
