Doryxylon is a monotypic plant genus in the family Euphorbiaceae first described as a genus in 1857.Zollinger, Heinrich. 1857. Natuurkundig Tijdschrift voor Nederlandsch-Indië 14(ser. 3. 4): 1, 172[http://www.tropicos.org/Name/40035327 Tropicos] The sole species is Doryxylon spinosum.
