The Emrax 228 is a Slovenian electric motor for powering electric aircraft and other applications, designed and produced by Emrax d.o.o of Kamnik. The company was formerly called Enstroj and based in Radomlje.Tacke, Willi; Marino Boric; et al: World Directory of Light Aviation 2015-16, pages 262–263. Design and development
The Emrax 228 is a brushless 130 volt design producing a peak of {{convert|100|kW|hp|0|abbr=on}}, {{convert|55|kW|hp|0|abbr=on}} continuous, with an outrunner coil. It has a 98% efficiency. The low working rpm of the engine means that it can turn a propeller at efficient speeds without the need for a reduction drive.{{cite web|url = http://emrax.com/products/emrax-228/|title = Emrax 228|access-date = 29 April 2018|author=Emrax |work = emrax.com}}
