Euporosteus is an extinct genus of prehistoric marine coelacanth that lived during the early to middle Devonian of Europe and Asia.{{Cite web|url=https://paleobiodb.org/classic/checkTaxonInfo?taxon_no=320903|title=Fossilworks: Euporosteus eifeliensis|website=fossilworks.org|access-date=17 December 2021}}{{Cite journal |last=Zhu |first=Min |last2=Yu |first2=Xiaobo |last3=Lu |first3=Jing |last4=Qiao |first4=Tuo |last5=Zhao |first5=Wenjin |last6=Jia |first6=Liantao |date=2012-04-10 |title=Earliest known coelacanth skull extends the range of anatomically modern coelacanths to the Early Devonian |url=https://www.nature.com/articles/ncomms1764 |journal=Nature Communications |language=en |volume=3 |issue=1 |pages=772 |doi=10.1038/ncomms1764 |issn=2041-1723}}

It contains two known species:{{Cite web |title=PBDB Taxon |url=https://paleobiodb.org/classic/basicTaxonInfo?taxon_no=34917 |access-date=2025-03-04 |website=paleobiodb.org}}

The Asian species E. yunnanensis is one of the earliest known coelacanths, alongside the much more fragmentary Eoactinistia from Australia, and is the earliest known coelacanth to have an anatomically modern appearance. The other species, E. eifeliensis, looked similar to E. yunnanensis but lived much later in the Devonian, giving this genus a long stratigraphic range.{{Cite web |title=Earliest Known Coelacanth Species Discovered {{!}} Paleontology {{!}} Sci-News.com |url=http://www.sci-news.com/paleontology/article00264.html |access-date=2019-05-28 |website=Breaking Science News {{!}} Sci-News.com |language=en-US}}
