Musical style and influence

Frank is primarily a contemporary Christian artist that incorporates elements of hip hop, pop, and rock into his music, which has been described as "genre-bending" by critics.{{Cite web |last=Sekulow |first=Logan |date=2025-05-08 |title=Forrest Frank Delivers No L's in Child of God II |url=https://www.ccmmagazine.com/news/forrest-franks-delivers-no-ls-in-child-of-god-ii/ |access-date=2025-05-09 |website=CCM Magazine |language=en-US}} All of Frank's music is created via Logic Pro on a MacBook.{{Cite web |last=Sekulow |first=Logan |date=2025-04-14 |title=CONCERT REVIEW: Forrest Frank's Sold-Out Arena Tour is Christian Music's Triumphant Return |url=https://www.ccmmagazine.com/reviews/concert-review-forrest-franks-sold-out-arena-tour-is-christian-musics-triumphant-return/ |access-date=2025-05-09 |website=CCM Magazine |language=en-US}} Frank's musical style was primarily influenced by the lack of "cool" Christian music that he experienced while growing up; in an interview with Grammy.com, he remarked:

If I was going to the gym or if I was at the beach, it seemed like there weren't really any Christian songs that would fit those facets of life… So, I aspired to make Christian music that I think is cool...I'm just making it the way that I love it. Frank is married to his wife, Grace, with whom he welcomed a son, Bodie.

Forrest has shared his testimony on many occasions including in the track “Testimony” in his album Child of God II. Forrest details his early life growing up in a Christian household, yet never having a true relationship with Jesus Christ. It wasn’t until his sophomore year at Baylor, struggling with anxiety, that he felt called to attend a church service near his school that ended up revolutionizing his life.

During his Child of God part II tour, Forrest details how some of his hit songs including “Lift My Hands” and “No Longer Bound” are not his own but rather, came to him during prayer.{{Cite web |last=Klett |first=Leah MarieAnn |date=2024-10-09 |title=Forrest Frank reveals hit 'Good Day' helped him walk through dark season: 'I had to put my words in action' |url=https://www.christianpost.com/news/forrest-frank-reveals-hit-good-day-helped-him-walk-through-pain.html |access-date=2025-04-26 |website=www.christianpost.com |language=en}}
