Fountains of Light is the second studio album by American progressive rock band Starcastle.{{cite news |last1=Pringle |first1=Kirby |title=Starcastle readies for the next stage of its long history |work=The News-Gazette |date=6 Jan 2005 |location=Champaign–Urbana |page=T4}}{{cite book |title=Beyond and Before: Progressive Rock Across Time and Genre: Updated and Expanded Edition |date=2021 |publisher=Bloomsbury Publishing |page=401}} It was their first of two albums to be produced by Roy Thomas Baker.
Production
While driving to Le Studio on icy mountain roads, the band was following Roy Thomas Baker in their own vehicle and was involved in a car accident that sent bassist Gary Strater to the hospital. Baker has said making the album was fun, but "a complete disaster" from the very first day.{{Cite web|url=http://www.rocksbackpages.com/Library/Article/roy-thomas-baker|title = Roy Thomas Baker.
