Fitzpatrick is best known for his career in the entertainment industry as a songwriter, record producer, soundtrack composer and filmmaker. He is also the founder of the non-profit organization EarthTones.

Early life

Fitzpatrick was born in Detroit, Michigan and graduated from the University of Michigan's music and business schools in 1983.{{citation needed|date=May 2019}} While there, he worked for Eclipse Jazz, a student-run body striving for better exposure of jazz artists through the production of live shows in the Ann Arbor area.{{Cite book|title=Michigan Ensian, Volume 85|publisher=UM Libraries|year=1981|pages=206|chapter=Eclipse Jazz}}

Career
