The Futaba Group is a Late Cretaceous geologic group in Japan. Dinosaur remains are among the fossils that have been recovered from the formation, although none have yet been referred to a specific genus.Weishampel, et al. (2004). "Dinosaur distribution." Pp. 517-607. It consists of both fluvial and shallow marine sediments.{{Cite journal|last=Ando|first=Hisao|last2=Seishi|first2=Masao|last3=Oshima|first3=Mitsuharu|last4=Matsumaru|first4=Tetsuya|date=1995|title=Fluvial-Shallow Marine Depositional Systems of the Futaba Group (Upper Cretaceous).
