History

On January 23, 2020, former Democratic Party of Korea member; Chun Se-kyung left the Democratic Party of Korea and announced his will to create a new party.{{Cite web|url=http://www.incheontoday.com/news/articleView.html?idxno=119988|script-title=ko:[단독] '미래민주당' 인천에 뜨나?|date=2020-01-23|website=인천투데이|language=ko|access-date=2020-04-14}} The party was officially founded on March 11, 2020{{Cite web|url=http://www.shinhanilbo.co.kr/news/articleView.|script-title=ko:신한일보|last=|first=|date=|website=|archive-url=|archive-date=|access-date=}} and officially registered with the National Election Commission on March 16, 2020.
